On this Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost, we’ll “Sound the Call” for WSBC Mission Groups and present Bibles to our Sixth Graders. Dorisanne Cooper is preaching on Luke 16:1-13 and the Chancel Choir shares the anthem, “Be Thou My Vision” (arr. John Ferguson). After worship, all are invited to join us for the All-Church Photo on the front steps and the “Dinner on the Grounds” in the Urban Ave. parking lot (see details below).
If you’re worshipping with us in person, we are continuing our masking protocol. Please keep your masks on anytime you are inside the sanctuary or common spaces in the building.
If you’re worshipping with us online, we invite you to gather these items near your computer: the worship bulletin, a Bible, and a candle to light with us at the beginning of the service. Wherever you are or whatever time you are watching the service, we gladly say, Thank God you are here!
All-Church Photo! Immediately after worship on Sunday, we will gather outside on the front steps of the church for a photo. While we are getting organized, please keep your masks on until our photographer, Jere Judd, gives us the countdown for the picture. And even then, if you prefer to keep your mask on for COVID safety, please do so! We’ll use the photo on our church website and Facebook page but it will also be a wonderful time capsule of our congregational life in 2022!
“Dinner on the Grounds” This potluck feast will take place on Sunday after the All-Church Photo. All are welcome! Fried chicken and drinks provided. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert and a lawn chair. Tables and some chairs will be available. Before the service, food can be dropped off in the fellowship hall or kitchen. After the church photo, please take your food items to the serving tables near the Urban Ave. parking lot (just outside the double doors near the elevator).
