Worship services at the North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women (NCCIW) consist of singing, preaching, Bible reading, and sometimes providing a snack for the women to enjoy after worship. Finally, and most importantly, it means being with the women incarcerated at NCCIW as each worship service ends with a time of fellowship.
The Prison Ministry consists of a core group of WSBC members who have undergone volunteer training at the prison to be able to go into the prison multiple times a year. We need those who are willing to help lead worship with song, readings, or preaching, those willing to talk and visit with the women after the service, and those willing to help prepare for services outside the prison walls. No matter how much time you have to give, there is a role for you in this group.
