Mark your calendars to attend one of the March Sunday School Forums offered for adults on March 3, 10 and 17 at 9:45 on Sunday mornings and learn about one of the following topics:
Sanctuary Movement – The Bible has many commands and laws that deal with how to treat foreigners. These commandments may differ from current U.S. law and policy. How do we as Christians understand our calling to obey God in this matter while at the same time fulfilling our role as citizens? How do we stop hateful acts, and encourage policies and practices that create safe, welcoming spaces for all people? How can our congregation get involved and support the work people of faith are undertaking through the North Carolina Sanctuary Coalition? These are some of the questions we will explore in the March Sunday School Forums.
The Person in the Bible I Find Most Inspiring Is… Many people in the Bible are challenged in their faith as they choose whether or not to follow God and decide how they will live their daily lives. Each week during the March Forums we welcome two presenters from our congregation to share who they find most inspiring from the Bible. We’ll meet for three weeks in the chapel to hear from presenters, ask questions and consider who we might find most inspiring in the Bible.
