June 12 Minute for Mission
Urban Hope will present our Minute for Mission on Sunday, June 12th. “Urban Hope is raising up generations of young heroes–who are beating the odds by the grace of God–through creating safe places in our neighborhood to grow together in wholeness.” Urban Hope provides many opportunities throughout the year to young people in the Walltown neighborhood and, in particular, Watts Street has helped them with their summer camp for many years. They are doing a great work in a neighborhood abutting ours and a neighborhood that is close to the hearts and work of the people of Watts Street. Please be generous.
June Mission Baskets
The mission baskets, located in the side foyer and the Fellowship Hall, collect diapers for the Diaper Bank of North Carolina. The Diaper Bank helps cash-strapped parents by providing diapers for their young children. Diapers are a big expense! Please help by donating diapers of all sizes! Questions? Contact Susan Brooks.
