Maundy Thursday Worship at Home
For our Maundy Thursday observance we have prepared a service for you to do at home during supper time. A link to that document can be found here. This liturgy can be used at a table of 1, 3, 6, however many are in your household right now. We recommend you open it and read it today as there will be a few things you might want to gather together before tomorrow night (all of them should be things you already have on hand). We hope this will be a time of connecting with one another and with God, knowing we are all sharing in this time even if we are separated by distance. If you’d like send us a picture of your table or your service.
Good Friday Service of Tenebrae, Friday, April 10, 7 p.m. FaceBook Live
On Friday we will send out a bulletin for the Good Friday service which will take place on FaceBook Live just like our Sunday morning services do. Jurgen Moltmann writes that “Good Friday is the most comprehensive and most profound expression of Christ’s fellowship with every human being.” We hope that you will join us on Friday evening as share this service of shadows together.
Easter Sunday Worship, Sunday, April 12, 11 a.m., Facebook Live
On Friday we will also send a link to the Sunday’s bulletin and Weekly and hope that you can join us online. We encourage you to find bells at home to ring whenever we say or sing the word “Alleluia”.
And we have a part we need from you for the service….
Your Holy Week Homework!
This week, everyone in the church family is invited to:
- Create your own simple Easter cross at home
- Decorate it with flowers
- And then take a picture of you (and your family) standing beside it.
Pictures sent to kelly@wattsstreet.org by 6 p.m. on Saturday will be included in a “Hallelujah Chorus” slide show at the conclusion of our online Easter Sunday service.
We look forward to seeing your faces as we celebrate together our new life in Christ!
