The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is at 4:00 p.m. During this brief service we hear the Gospel story of the birth of Jesus and enjoy familiar carols. The service concludes with the lighting of our individual candles from the Christ Candle.
The Moravian Lovefeast is at 6:00 p.m. During this service, we hear the Gospel story of the birth of Jesus, sing familiar carols led by the Chancel Choir, organ, and brass, and enjoy the traditional Moravian buns and coffee. At the conclusion of this service, we raise our individual candles as we sing Joy to the World. The Lovefeast is a gift from Watts Street Baptist Church to the community. Please note that no seats will be saved after 5:30 p.m.
At the conclusion of each service, collection plates near the sanctuary doors will receive a love offering for Families Moving Forward, a Durham agency which offers a temporary home to families with children in the crisis of homelessness.
