On this joyful day we gather to light the Christ Candle, and to celebrate once again the birth of Jesus.
The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is at 4:00 p.m. During this brief service we hear the Gospel story of the Birth of Jesus and enjoy familiar carols with special music by Trio Rossignol (recorder trio). The service concludes with the lighting of our individual candles from the Christ Candle.
The Moravian Lovefeast is at 6:00 p.m. During this service we hear the Gospel story of the birth of Jesus, sing familiar carols led by the Chancel Choir, organ and brass, and enjoy the traditional Moravian buns and coffee. At the conclusion of this service, we raise our individual candles as we sing Joy to the World. The Lovefeast is a gift from Watts Street Baptist Church to the community. Please note that no seats will be saved after 5:30 p.m.
At the conclusion of both services, collection plates near the sanctuary doors will receive a love offering for Families Moving Forward.
